1934 Ford Sedan for sale in Charlotte, North Carolina

$79,900

When it comes to being a street rod enthusiast, there's no time like the present. Anyone with a pile of catalogs or access to the internet can literally build an entire custom car which looks and performs better than OEM. And while that universal access to top notch parts is leveling the playing field at shows, it's also making it more difficult to create something that's truly unique and memorable. As a result, visionary builders are constantly upping the ante in terms of quality and creativity, and the very best rods have become the cars that are meticulously planned, feature a unifying design and employ the very best build techniques. This magazine featured 1934 Ford Sedan is a professionally built custom which required eight years of careful planning, has all of its first rate parts completely documented, and has won both an NSRA Pro's Pick trophy (NSRA only awards 65 of these per year) and a Goodguys Slick and Smooth Award. If you're an anxious street rod buyer who is tired of sorting through an endless blur of simply 'good' cars, this slick '34 Ford is the 'best' you've been waiting for!
This awesome '34 Ford Sedans smooth and solid fuselage began life as aviation grade fiberglass which Redneck Street Rods molded into a fantastic replica of a highly accurate steel car. Once the body was completely cured, stainless hardware was utilized to bolt up a tight fitting set of fiberglass fenders, two steel running boards and a fiberglass fuel tank cover; and the entire package was coated with a flexible Valspar surfacer. Completely pre-assembled and ready for paint, the car was then shipped to Fast Eddies Hot Rod Shop in Lamar, Missouri where it was fully prepped and bathed in a trailer queen worthy coat of Corvette Competition Yellow Dupont basecoat/clearcoat. With nary a ripple or misaligned panel anywhere, and a finish that glistens like glass, this positively evil little sedan possesses just enough authenticity to satisfy even the most skeptical old school hot rod fans and just enough polish to win over the harshest scoring judge.
The beauty of a really well done street rod is often found in the simplicity of its execution. In a nod to the true roots of hot rodding, high quality builds are usually topped with a stripped down, all business body which emphasizes the cars purpose built, high performance nature. At the front of this slick '34 Ford, a pristine Alumicraft grille sits inside a chip-free body-matched frame which is centered between two chrome trimmed 1934 commercial style Ford headlights. Behind that grille, a three piece Rootlieb steel hood meets a 2.5 inch chopped and smoked windshield which is flanked by Big Al's billet wipers and chrome rear view mirrors. At the top of the car, a great looking ribbed roof sits over new smoked side and back glass; and at the bottom of the car, like-new running board mats ride under great fitting suicide doors which are complete with hidden hinges and fresh chrome door handles. The back of the car is equally as clean as its front and sides displaying a flush mount LED center high mount stop lamp, a flush mount LED Lambert Enterprises sequential tail light and a simple chrome fuel cap as the only items that break up its sea of yellow paint.
Pop off this '34 Fords Hagan three way hinged steel hood and you'll find a fresh, fit and professionally rebuilt LB9 305 Chevrolet V8 which was donated by a 1985 Camaro IROC-Z. At the top of the engine, a small reusable air filter shoots air into a reliable tuned port fuel injection system which has been completely reconditioned and flow matched by Street and Performance. That tuned port injection system sends air/fuel mixture into eight sequentially fired cylinders that are sparked by a yellow top Optima battery, a complete Haywire wiring package and bright yellow billet loomed plug wires. At the sides of the motor, chromed billet aluminum valve covers sit above Street and Performance coated headers which allow the car plenty of room to breathe; and at the front of the motor, a Street and Performance serpentine system spins billet pulleys below a chrome Powermaster 100 amp alternator and a chrome Sanden AC compressor. The cars clean and smoothed engine compartment is relatively sparse aside from a Griffin large tube aluminum radiator which features a built in transmission cooler, a built in AC condenser and a toggle switch controlled 185/195 degree SPAL electric fan. And it's finished in the same glossy yellow as the exterior panels, which allows the thoroughly detailed motor, with its assortment of braided hoses and details like a Lokar SS transmission dipstick, to create a lot of great looking texture and contrast.
Behind the cars modern 305 cubic inch engine you'll find a new Phoenix Transmission Products Turbo-hydramatic 700R4 4-speed which has been beefed up with a mild shift kit and can be rowed either manually or automatically. Power flows from that proven transmission through a balanced driveshaft to a yellow powder coated Currie 9 inch rear end which has been equipped with both an emergency brake and stout 3.53 gears. Holding that stellar drivetrain off the ground is a yellow powder coated Total Cost Involved Stage III frame which is bolted to a Heidts stainless and chrome Super Ride front end, a Flaming River manual steering rack, a stainless four link rear suspension with billet stabilizer bars and chrome front and rear sway bars. Braking is handled by a power four wheel Wilwood system which sends fluid from stainless brake lines with AN fittings to a proportioning valve and polished aluminum four piston calipers. And exhaust is handled by mandrel bent true dual pipes which rumble through great sounding 50 Series Flowmaster mufflers. Not a detail was missed on the bottom of this trophy winning Ford sedan, and the cars many niceties include a poly gas tank that's equipped with a Delco electronic fuel pump, aluminum lines and billet clamps, completely stainless, polished or chromed hardware, a stainless rear wheel spreader bar, lizard skin fender undercoating, a manual hideaway license plate and completely detailed, body-matched floors. Putting the power to the pavement is a mirror-like set of 17 inch front and 20 inch rear Billet Specialties Vintec aluminum wheels which wear 225/45 and 245/40 Yokohama AB Sport performance radials.
Open the doors of this killer '34 Ford and you'll find a $10,600 Ultraleather interior which was installed by OZ Custom Upholstery of Columbus, Kansas. The modern and pleated RodDoors front bucket and rear bench seats are supportive; feel soft enough to take a nap on, and feature three point front and two point rear seatbelts. At the sides of those seats, custom molded door panels hang small arm rests below slick "33 Ford" billet emblems which complement great looking billet door handles, locks and power window switches. Below the seats, upscale German Weave wool carpet, which is protected by custom floor mats, anchors Lokar billet pedals and an aluminum B&M shifter next to a color coordinated drink holder with billet inserts, a remote control for the cars hidden audio system and a polished emergency brake handle. In front of the seats, the cars gorgeous dash, which has been body-matched, color matched to the interior and capped at its bottom with leather trim, hangs a Billet Specialties gauge cluster that is packed full of VDO gauges above both controls for the Vintage Air climate system, and custom AC vents with polished billet inserts. At the top of the car, a custom leather headliner, which is stretched tightly around an MP3 compatible Custom Autosound sound system and a billet dome light, flows to a custom rear decklid which hangs speakers above a small storage space that is accessed via the flip down the rear seat. Rounding out this amazing cockpit is a Billet Specialties Vintec steering wheel which sits on a chrome Ididit tilt steering column and perfectly matches the both the cars rolling stock and interior.
As with and extensive build, this vivid Ford street rod comes with ample documentation. Included with the sale is a box of paperwork which contains: categorized binders and folders of all the cars restoration and build receipts from the original VIN number of the 305 donor car to the $10,600 custom interior, a binder of categorized component manuals and parts references, a thumb drive with build photos, an official NSRA safety inspection which the car passed, a complete categorized spec sheet, a few small parts and copies both the Goodguys Goodtimes Gazette and Street Scene magazines in which the car was featured.
Everything on this 1934 Ford Sedan is 100% show ready and in immaculate condition! You really can't ask for a more impressive custom car, and you certainly can't build one this cool for the asking price.
