2010 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS for sale in Charlotte, North Carolina

$36,900

We all know how epic the Transformers franchise is and the key role that GMs re-introduced Camaro played in the movies. At the 2010 Comic-con International, Chevrolet announced it would make a special edition Camaro to celebrate the success of their partnership with Paramount Pictures and the Transformers Edition Camaro was born. This 2010 Camaro Transformers Edition SS/RS packs the 426 horsepower goodness of a Camaro Super Sport and a few fun modifications from the Transformers series into a 6,146 mile one owner car that is as fun as it is fast.
There is no doubt that the Camaro has been a slam-dunk hit and when you look at the car, you begin to understand why. Its probably one of the best modern interpretations of classic Detroit styling cues to ever hit the road. Like many of our low-mileage, factory-fresh pieces, this car presents as new in every conceivable way. Glossy, smooth and beautifully finished in GM Rally Yellow, this car features black racing stripes with matte Transformers logos on each side of its raised hood. At the front of the car, the body width V shaped grille sits below an SS exclusive mail slot hood scoop and combines the best visual elements of the first and third generation Camaros. Housed within that grille is a chrome trimmed Chevrolet bowtie and a red SS emblem that, by its color, denotes the cars Rally Sport package. At each corner of the grille, RS specific HID headlights feature trick halos and complement round fog lights in black bezels. At the sides of the car, nicely sculpted rear view mirrors sit atop body panels that take the classic lines of first generation Camaros and blend them with surface detailing inspired by an F-22 fighter jet. Behind the front tires, chrome Camaro emblems sit above black Autobot insignias and on the rear fenders louvers inspired by the 1969 Camaro sit just in front of the rear tires. Dealer installed body matched splash guards are optional equipment and continue the fender line beyond the bottom of the body. The lines of the car flow from nose to tail to give the car a familiar coke bottle shape and include fast C-pillars and a contoured roof inspired by the Corvette. The rear of the car displays prominent fender ridges that emphasize the cars width and evoke an awesome crouched tiger appearance. The black racing stripes terminate at a subtle rear decklid spoiler that sits above four unique RS tail lights that add a new twist to a traditional Chevrolet look. The rear bumper houses an air splitter with two polished stainless exhaust tips, small square reverse lights and a yellow tag bracket. In the center of the trunk youll find another chrome trimmed Chevrolet bowtie, and just above the passenger side tail lights is another red SS emblem.
Ample power is supplied by GMs stout 6.2 liter L99 V8, which is based on the award winning LS3 that powers the Corvette coupe and convertible. Good for a factory warrantied 400 horsepower and 410 lb./ft. of torque, this 6.2L is an excellent example of why some people believe this to be the golden age of performance. The L99 uses a cast aluminum block, high flow aluminum heads, a high flow intake manifold, an aggressive camshaft, offset intake rocker arms, upgraded electronic fuel injectors and coil near plug firing for a 10.7:1 compression ratio and virtually unmatched street car performance. Dressed in a cool Camaro-exclusive shroud that has been painted yellow and black to match the car it cleans up well and fits snug inside this Camaros engine bay. In front of the motor, youll find a yellow powder coated Roto-Fab cold air intake with a carbon fiber finished air tube that adds power and style. And thanks to GMs Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation technology, youll get excellent fuel economy. There are no leaks or squeaks of any kind and this cars engine bay appears as if the car had just backed off the transporter at a dealership.
Underneath this Camaro youll find a slick-shifting Hydra-Matic 6L80 6-speed automatic transmission. This is the highest capacity automatic transmission ever installed in a GM passenger car and features either performance algorithm shifting or, if you want to row through the gears yourself, paddle shifting. Apparently, like Corvette owners, Camaro owners seem to gravitate towards automatics. So, GM decided to build an automatic that is handy for daily driving and performance savvy. Power flows from the transmission to a limited slip rear end with highway friendly 3.27 gears. That transmission and rear end are housed in a sophisticated, Nurburgring tested all-independent performance suspension with stabilizer bars and coils at all four corners. The suspension benefits from GMs Stabilitrak traction and stability control, variable ratio power steering and four wheel vented disc brakes that are supplied by Brembo, exclusive to the Camaro SS and complete with an anti-lock brake system and electronic brake distribution. Sitting in front of those Brembo and Chevrolet branded calipers are polished 20 inch RS exclusive wheels with Autobot center caps and 245/45 front, and 275/40 rear Pirelli P Zero Z-rated tires. This car is a spectacular all-around performer that has truly earned the right to wear the vaunted Camaro nameplate.
Open the door of the car and the first thing youll notice is the chrome Transformers sill plates. Sit down in the black bucket seats which feature embroidered SS logos on the headrests, six way power adjustment and heated leather. These are some extremely comfortable buckets that position you perfectly to look out of the cool gun slit style windows. They grip enough to hold you in place for the aggressive driving of which this car is capable, yet theyre also comfortable enough for long, relaxed road trips. In front of you, the retro themed dash houses a speedometer, tachometer and a trip computer. On your right youll find controls for the heat and air conditioning, AM/FM radio and Boston Acoustic 9 speaker sound system that incorporates a CD player, an MP3 jack, Bluetooth connectivity and XM satellite radio capability. At the top of the window youll find a self-dimming rearview mirror with built in Onstar. Inside the console youll find traditional four pack gauges, a leather wrapped shifter for the automatic transmission and a console lid with a stitched Autobot logo. The leather wrapped tilt and telescoping steering wheel features redundant audio controls, cruise control, and paddle shifters for the automatic. On the cars stylish door panels youll find controls for the power window with express up and down settings and controls for the power adjustable, self-dimming rear view mirrors. Safety features include power door locks, ultrasonic rear parking assist, remote vehicle start, dual front air bags, side air bags and front and rear curtain air bags. Like the rest of the car, the best I can say is that this interior is 100% new with no signs of wear at all.
As a new car, documentation is exactly what you would get if you ordered this one yourself: an owners manual and the booklets included with it, dealer paperwork, a warranty guide and the cars original window sticker.
This 2010 Camaro Transformers Edition is a new car in every way. Its a top of the line Camaro SS/RS with a special edition package that makes it unique and fun. If you want a Camaro that runs with the best performance machines on the road and never fails to attract stares, this pristine one owner car is exactly what youre looking for. Call today!
