1985 Chevrolet C10 for sale in Charlotte, North Carolina

This 1985 Chevrolet C10 pickup is a solid, honest truck that's ready to work or play, or could be the foundation of your next custom project. Difficult to find in such well-preserved condition, these trucks are handsome, rugged machines that readily accept all the popular hot-rodding tricks, and have a massive aftermarket devoted to their maintenance and modification. With this nice truck as a foundation, the only limit is your imagination, or with a little work, it could be a great contender in preservation class judging if that's what you're into. The Indian Bronze over tan paint scheme is very 1980s, and you've undoubtedly seen a lot of trucks similar to this one wearing the exact same paint job. This one remains in very good condition with factory panels throughout and no signs of damage or rust. Thanks to careful ownership by a truck enthusiast, the paint is in surprisingly good shape for its age with no glaring issues or trouble areas. The regular cab/short bed combination is arguably the best looking of all the C/K pickups, and is sporty despite its working-class origins. The bed has been coated with a spray-on bed liner material, so it is ready to work and shows no rust or damage. Clean chrome bumpers front and rear are rust-free, although it's possible that the rear bumper is a later replacement piece, and the stainless is as nice as the paint. I don't know who decided to put a hood ornament on a pickup truck, but I like it out there leading the way. Glass is good all around, and you'll appreciate the sliding rear window, which provides great ventilation without a lot of wind inside the cab. As long as we're inside the cab, let's have a look at the original bench seat interior. Dressed in tan patterned vinyl, the seat is in usable condition, although there's a split on the driver's side near the back. Otherwise, it's nicely preserved, and like the two-tone exterior, a nice piece of '80s automotive fashion. Carpets are nicely preserved thanks to a set of floor mats, while the gauges are all functional, including the aftermarket oil pressure gauge hanging underneath. There's a crack in the dash pad where all these trucks eventually have issues, and the door panels are starting to show their age, but can be used as-is without worries. This truck is also loaded with power options, including A/C, power windows, power locks, and a tilt steering column, all of which are fairly unusual for a pickup truck of this vintage. And it really is nicely preserved-even the original build sheet sticker is still on the driver's side door. The engine is Chevy's reliable and torquey 305 cubic inch V8, which has recently had a top-end rebuild. With a coat of Chevy Orange paint, it looks traditional in the big engine bay, and an Edelbrock carburetor and open-element air cleaner add a few horsepower. Other dress up items include Edelbrock chrome valve covers, while the rest of the engine bay is completely stock. It's backed by GM's rugged and reliable 3-speed automatic turning a highway-friendly 2.73 gear set out back. The chassis is solid and clean, further proof that this truck comes from a dry climate, and it shows signs of having been well maintained all its life. Wheels are original Rally style steel wheels wearing 235/70/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials, while what appears to be the original spare still hangs under the bed. No it's not a show truck, but it could be. Think of this truck as the start of a new journey, and it's ready to go in any direction you choose. Solid and reliable, it could easily go to work with you tomorrow, or with a few simple upgrades, it could be a really fun cruiser. Whatever you can imagine, this truck can become, even if it's just a nice cruiser that you can enjoy on your weekend trips to Home Depot. Give us a call today!
