2007 Ford Mustang for sale in Charlotte, North Carolina

$39,995

If you're like most people, you took one look at this outrageous yellow 2007 Mustang GT convertible and said, "Wow!" Tastefully modified with a ton of high-end parts, including a Saleen supercharger, it's equally at home on the street, the track, or the show field. Built by Dale Jarrett Ford as a kind of special edition, this is far more than a bunch of aftermarket parts thrown at a stock Mustang, it's a comprehensively built car that takes no prisoners. That screaming yellow paint job definitely isn't subtle, and there won't be any sneaking around with those black Mach 1-style stripes running along the hood and trunk, as well as on the rocker panels. The hood scoop is bigger than the stock Mustang GT unit, and a custom grille was installed up front. With just 5300 miles on the clock, you know this was a toy, not a daily driver, and the condition of the paint and body bear this out-it's stunning. There's hardly a blemish or a chip anywhere on the car, and the finish has been polished and waxed so frequently that even bugs slide off it when they land. This is a show-quality car throughout. Dale Jarrett Ford extensively modified the interior as well, including those awesome two-tone leather seats. Based on the original Mustang buckets, yellow leather inserts were added, which is a huge upgrade to the ordinary, monochromatic Mustang passenger compartment. The leather remains in excellent condition, showing no wear or UV damage from being out in the sun, and the seats are some of the most supportive and comfortable ever fitted to a Mustang. The original dash needed no upgrades, with its cool retro-styled gauges and brushed-aluminum panels with eyeball vents. The stock 5-speed shifter was tossed in favor of a short-throw piece that makes shifts feel like a bolt-action rifle with no slop-you won't miss the 2-3 shift ever again. Overhead, a custom Roush light bar was installed that compliments the car's lines and is definitely reminiscent of a vintage Shelby. It all seals up tightly under a black convertible top that folds into its well at the touch of a button. The engine bay received a major upgrade in the form of a Saleen supercharger. Saleen was famous for their better-than-OEM quality and exhaustive engineering, and the blower in this car adds horsepower without any cranky attitude from the engine management system. Dyno sheets that accompany the car show an amazing 486 rear-wheel horsepower, which, thanks to a completely tunable X-Calibrator 2 setup, drives like a stock car. A100% stainless Borla exhaust is part of the package, and with the supercharger running at full boost, the sound is spectacular. A twin disc clutch has been installed to harness all that horsepower, and the suspension upgrades include Eibach springs, as well as custom sway bars and upgraded shocks from Roush. Rounding out the package is a set of gorgeous Shelby 20x9 wheels wearing 255/35/20 Nitto performance radials. It's important on a car like this to see adequate documentation, and this one includes something akin to a build sheet from Dale Jarrett Ford that details all the components that went into the build. There's also the original bill of sale showing a sticker price of over $50,000 for the finished car-that's GT500 money. In addition, there's a dyno sheet verifying the performance claims, as well as receipts for recent work such as the twin-disc clutch upgrade. Modified Mustangs are a dime a dozen, but when they're comprehensively built by a place with Dale Jarrett's name on it, you know it's something special. The parts are all top-quality pieces from the best names in the business, and the workmanship is outstanding. The interior alone sets this car apart from the others, but the total package delivers performance that rivals the GT500 with a unique look that won't blend into the crowd. For something a little out of the ordinary that still carries a rock-solid pedigree, this Mustang delivers.
